Spearfishing Gear in FNQ: Ocean Universal

Ocean Universal in Westcourt, Cairns has a solid spearfishing selection. That's no accident — the store traded as Spearfishing Superstore, so spearo gear has always been the core.

They've got rail spearguns, camo wetsuits, carbon and fibreglass fins, low-volume masks, weight belts, floats, dive knives, and spearfishing accessories. It's all chosen for tropical waters — not imported cold-water stuff that wasn't made for FNQ.

The find out more name changed to Ocean Universal because they'd already added scuba and freediving gear over the years. But the spearo side hasn't been reduced. It's still a core part of the business.

The crew are local spearos and can help with what works on Great Barrier Reef spots.
